Terry Johnston Chairman
Terry has over twenty years experience of developing award winning software for the financial services industry. In 1995 he founded Information Internet, which developed Marketmaker, the first real-time trading software on the Internet. The company was rated one of the UK's fastest growing technology companies and was eventually bought out by CMC Markets. Marketmaker has been instrumental in helping CMC become a world leader in on-line CFD's, Spread Betting and Foreign Exchange. Terry co-founded Copperdime in 2005.
Piers Balmer Chief Technology Officer
After graduation with a BSc in Computer Science Piers joined Information Internet in 1996. He helped develop the early Marketmaker platform and was the chief developer for Marketmaker versions 4 and 5 under the ownership of CMC Markets. Piers left in 2003 and co-founded Copperdime in 2005.
Adrian Patten Commercial Director
Adrian has over twenty years of experience in the financial markets both as a trader and at senior management level. He has worked at Deutsche Bank, UBS and Charles Taylor Asset Management and has consulted to a number of technology start-ups.
Stuart Quick Chief Architect
Stuart holds a PHD in Computer Science from the University of Manchester and has 15 years experience in system level architecture and product development. He spent 5 years with Hewlett Packard as a lead researcher at HP labs in the UK and the USA as well as founding a software company that was subsequently taken over by Agilent Technologies. He has previously consulted to the MOD on communications network resilience.
Alex Fordham Business Development Manager
Alex has worked as a futures trader both as a local and for Refco. In 2000 he joined CMC markets to set up their brokerage sales division, now one of their most profitable businesses.
